We have been at Fred and Elsie's 24 hours now. We had some bad news about our RV and we are now awaiting parts from Michigan. We will see how one day UPS does to northern Alberta. We will wait and enjoy the area, as we wait for the parts and then for the repair work. Fred and Elsie have been such wonderful hosts and we are loving it here in their little heaven on earth.
Today we went for quad rides through their woods - fun, fun fun.
They have a peaceful, quiet cabin, just down the hill from where we are parked.

A quick note tonight to let you know that we arrived at Fred and Elsie's this afternoon. They live just outside of Athabasca, Alberta.
We are parked in their RV spot and it is so peaceful. The birds are singing and yesterday they had a bear walk through their yard and a few days ago they saw a moose around the house. I hope we get to see a little of the wildlife also but if not the beauty of nature is here. they live at the edge of the Northern bush.
Hope for pictures tomorrow.
We would really like some comments. We had 55 hits on our blog in the last week, so we know you people are reading it.

We arrived at the Weins on Sunday afternoon. Gary and Ann are such good hosts and we are having a wonderful time in Alberta. We are enjoying their 3-year old home, along with their wonderful view of the rocky mountains.
On Sunday night Garys invited our old friends, Jim and Joy Penner for the evening. Jims lived in Iowa while teaching at IMS. Their daughter Naomi and husband Ryan came along for the evening also. It was really good to see them again. Tonight we will be going eating with Jims.Glacier National Park on Sunday, June7, 2009. Yes, I was routed out of bed at 6:30 AM to go for a ride in the park. It was worth it - the scenery was beautiful and we saw a lot of animals. We saw deer, moose and antelope and babe.
